Paediatric Bronchoscopy (Foreign Body Removal)
Kids can accidentally inhale any object into their windpipe, which can lead to partial or complete blockage of airways. Young children especially between the age of 6 months till 3 years have the habit of putting objects into their mouth, including non-food items. Children can inhale pieces of peanut, almond, cashew nut, supari and any other dry fruit. Also, they can inhale objects which include plastic as well as metal such as ornaments, small toys/parts of toys (whistle), marble balls etc. This can lead to difficulty in breathing and even death of the child if not removed by emergency bronchoscopy.
We also carry out diagnostic newborn as well as pediatric bronchoscopy. It helps us in diagnosing problems like :

Paediatric Trauma Surgery
Pediatric trauma is very common and can occur while playing or as a result of a road traffic accident (RTA). Trauma can be life-threatening at times. Such cases need immediate care by a team of pediatric surgeons and pediatric intensivists. Sometimes lifesaving urgent surgery is also required in such cases.
Daycare Surgery
We provide facilities for daycare surgeries like inguinal hernia, undescended testis, phimosis, thyroglossal cyst, branchial sinus /cyst, umbilical polyp, dermoids and sebaceous cysts, and lymph node biopsy.
These surgeries are done under general anesthesia and the child is discharged on the same day.
Outdoor Consultation
At kidsurg, we provide OPD consultation for surgical problems of newborn babies and older children (0 to 18 years). Antenatal consultation and counseling services are also available at our clinic. We provide teleconsultation in selected cases.
